What a used car inspection covers

A used car can look fine on the driveway and still hide worn brakes, a slipping clutch or a fault that has been cleared from the dashboard. A check before you pay finds them, so you can walk away or agree a fair price.

Questions

Can you meet me at the seller's house?

Yes. Send us the address and the time of the viewing, and we'll meet you at the car.

Do I need a history check as well?

Yes. A history check from a service such as Cartell or Motorcheck shows outstanding finance, write-offs and the mileage record. An inspection shows the condition of the car itself, so the two together give you the full picture.

What if the inspection finds a problem?

You hear what it is and what it would cost to fix, so you can walk away or agree a lower price with the seller.
